thankful

I must admit, sometimes I forget how truely blessed I am. I often only see the things I don't have, that everyone around me is already enjoying. I've been thinking a lot lately about my blessings and the things I'm thankful for. This Thanksgiving season is a great time to remember them. I just need to work on always being grateful. Here are just a few of my favorites.

1. The Gospel. I'm so grateful for the hope, peace, and true happiness it brings. When I get frustrated or disappointed at circumstances in my life, I'm reminded that the Lord does have a plan for me and things will work out how they're supposed to.

2. My amazing husband. Thankyou for putting up with my moodiness, sad or angry moments, morning loopiness, and all around bad days. I don't know how I got so lucky to find someone so patient, loving and inspiring (and hot!).

3. My jobs. With the uncertain economy, I'm lucky enough to not only have one job, but two.

4. Follow up to last statement- I'm grateful I'm done with my six night shifts in a row and now have the whole Thanksgiving weekend off.

5. My family. They are so supportive and wonderful. I love them all so much.

6. The snow. It's so beautiful and makes everything look so clean!

7. Christmas music (it's tradition for me to listen to it on the first snow of the season- even if that lands in August).

8. My amazing friends. I love how much we laugh together, what great listeners they are, and how much they believe in me.

9. My health. I often tell Marc that I believe I have a brain tumor, cancer, or a blood disease of some sort. But in all seriousness, I'm healthy and able to walk and run and do all sorts of fun things.

10. My future. It sometimes is scary to me how uncertain the future is. But right now, it holds so many possibilities. I'm exited for the life ahead and all the wonderful things the Lord has in store for us.
